Acorn to Oak Mentorship Program is created with the mentee in mind.
Designed for individuals, 14 years and older, the program ensures that each person is appropriately paired with a qualified mentor who can guide them – socially, academically or career wise or for rehabilitation purposes.
Today’s world is based on celebrities and the “who’s who” of society - our youth, young people and adults are in need of role models who are upright, motivated and professional. Acorn to Oak Mentorship program provides that.
Given the lack of support systems or the dysfunctional support systems that exist, our youth, young people and adults are in need of a “cheerleader,” someone to motivate them to be all they can be. Acorn to Oak Mentorship program provides that.
To travel the road to success, our youth, young people and adults are in need of a trailblazer who has gone before them and who can share the “best practices” of attaining a specific goal. Acorn to Oak Mentorship program provides that.
Each of our mentors is trained and qualified, not only in their specific areas of support but also in the manner in which they are to perform their mentorship role. Mentors are available to hold the hand of the mentee through each area of their lives.
The success of our mentor-mentee relationship occurs when the mentee is able to in turn mentor another as a result of their learning and success.
Today, decide to be different. Decide to join forces with someone who wants to see you succeed. Join the Acorn to Oak Mentorship Program.

GOAL SETTING and ACHIEVING - JAMAAL ACORNTOOAK
We would like to introduce Jamaal AcornToOak, a fictitious character whom we use as an example of a student who, while in grade ten, wrote down an ambitious plan for his life.
Jamaal had struggled in school but a mentor challenged him to fill out a self- assessment survey and then to use that survey to help him choose the career of his dreams. As well, the mentor advised him to write down a sample of how he would like his resume to look at the end of his career if he achieved all of his goals. The mentor told him that he did the same exercise when he was young and he ended up achieving many of the goals he at one time thought were impossible. Once he believed he could achieve his goals, he then worked towards them.
The challenge motivated Jamaal to focus on improving his grades, to stay out of trouble with the law, and to take greater responsibility for his actions. With the help of the mentor and his teachers, he turned his marks from D's and several failing grades, to A's. Throughout his life, he achieved many of his goals and by the time he reached the age of sixty five his real resume looked much like his target resume.
Are you setting your goals in life too low for fear of failure or lack of confidence?
